With this portal, Google is aiming very high in the travel sector. ‘More than a hub, we are a connector that directs the consumer to the best offer,’ says an internal Google source to Echo Tourist magazine.
It’s official, Google has launched its new multi-device dedicated to travel, called Trips. The site is a centralised platform that helps users plan their trips.
It combines the advantages of the mobile Google Trips app, Google Flights, Google Hotels and its search functionality to make the user experience easier and more enjoyable. The good news is that the traveller can pick up where they left off.
Google says the launch is the beginning of an evolution for its travel services and that Trips will be integrated with Google Maps and Google Search in the coming months.
English-speaking travellers can rejoice!
The new site will improve the way travellers plan their trips online. Now they can book flights and hotels, view all future trips and scroll through previous pages, all in one web page.
Unfortunately, the website is not yet available in France. It is only accessible in English. Google has not yet commented on launching it in other countries.
