Apple announced its own TV<\/strong> and movie streaming service this week, bringing together different streaming services such as HBO<\/strong> and Showtime<\/strong> and traditional cable subscriptions.<\/p>\n

For a company struggling to diversify beyond the iPhone<\/a>, whose sales have started to decline, penetrating a business already dominated by Amazon <\/a>and Netflix<\/a> isn\u2019t that easy. The least we can say is that Apple<\/strong> is very late to this game.<\/p>\n

\u201cNetflix<\/strong> has become the gold standard in how to create and distribute content, using all the data they have about their viewers\u201d eMarketer analyst Paul Verna<\/strong> said.<\/p>\n

To overcome its rivals\u2019 strategic positioning, Apple<\/strong> is bringing superstars such as Oprah Winfrey<\/strong>, Jennifer Aniston<\/strong> and Steven Spielberg<\/strong> to amplify the attention on the streaming service. Each took the stage and talked about his or her show, promising a quality entertainment.<\/p>\n

Chief executive Tim Cook<\/strong> also gave a sneak peek of the tech giant\u2019s plans to transform the television viewing landscape. The pricing has not been announced, but we can expect the launch sometime this fall.<\/p>\n
